NEW: VIRTUAL PASSES

GCF now allows GotSport Virtual Passes to be used at check-in. These are to be used as a backup, with laminated passes the preferred check-in.

ONLY GotSport official virtual passes are accepted. NO photos, screenshots, or PDFs.

Virtual passes are displayed from a browser, with system.gotsport.com showing in the address bar. The coach or manager will bring them up.

Game Day Procedures

Check-In
  1. Collect the Match Card from the Home Team and perform check-in from the displayed players. PLAYERS MAY NOT BE WRITTEN ONTO THE MATCH CARD.

  2. A valid laminated or virtual FYSA pass MUST BE presented for ALL players and coaches.

Post-Game
  1. Enter the final score on the Match Card.

  2. If any Red Cards were issued enter them on the Match Card and fill out a Supplemental Report.

  3. Sign the Match Card, take a photo or phone scan, and return it to the Home Team Manager or Coach.

  4. Monitor the teams while leaving the field.

Game Follow-up

If any Red Cards were issued they MUST be reported to GCF within 48 hours. Supplemental Report Forms are linked below. Fill a Supplemental Report and send it and a copy of the Match Card to redcard@gcfsoccer.com.

Red Card Procedure

When you give a red card you are required to note it on the Match Card (Game Report and submit a Supplemental Referee Report. No exceptions. You may enter them into GotSoccer but you still must submit the forms. This is a GCF and FYSA requirement.

  1. Fill out the Match Card and Supplemental Report at the field.

  2. Take a phone photo or scan.

  3. Send both to redcards@gcfsoccer.com.

You will only keep the player/coach pass in the case of referee abuse. Mail it, along with the match card and supplemental report, to Matt Hutchinson, 1262 Lake Francis Dr., Apopka, FL 32712

FYSA Heading Rule

211.4 HEADING RULE

Player Eligibility

All Players age 10 years of age and under shall not head the ball directly from the air in any match or competition, nor shall these players practice heading the ball in any organized team setting.

Players age 11 and age 12 shall be permitted to head the ball in any match or competition. These players may practice heading the ball in an organized team practice or skill session, but coaches shall monitor this practice so that no single player heads the ball more than 25 times per week, regardless of setting. Balls should be inflated to the IFAB official minimum standard of 8.5psi.

Players age 13 and older shall be permitted to head the ball in any match or competition and these players may practice heading the ball in an organized team practice or skill session.

Individual rules of competition may choose to impose stricter rules however they may not impose less stricter rules.

Heading the ball

In games where deliberate heading is not allowed, it is an offence if a player:

  • deliberately touches the ball with their head, for example moving their head towards the ball
  • scores in the opponents' goal: directly from their head, even if accidental; or immediately after the ball has touched their head, even if accidental
