US Soccer's decision on whether to return to calendar-age over birth-age for player registration has been left to the state associations and leagues. "Starting in the Fall of 2026, members and leagues will have reasonable flexibility to choose the best registration option for their participants. There is no registration change for the 2025-2026 season."
FYSA and will be announcing their choice and GCFYSL will follow that decision. The new registration policy will begin with the 2026-27 season.
